Hjalte Froholdt leverede en fremragende 2024-sæson. Han er for alvor brudt igennem lydmuren i NFL, og får nu hæder fra flere sider på baggrund af sine flotte præstationer.
Arizona Cardinals har netop offentliggjort deres “team awards” for denne sæson. Et panel på 13 mennesker har uddelt diverse priser til årets bedste Cardinalsspillere i flere forskellige kategorier. Her er Hjalte Froholdt såmænd også nævnt.
Froholdt får prisen som årets “Beyond the box score” spiller hos Cardinals. Danskeren var den eneste hos Cardinals, som fik mere end to stemmer i kategorien. Her er begrundelsen for valget af den store dansker:
“Anchored an offensive line that paved the way (#CramItVertical) to not only the second-highest yards per carry (5.29) in the league but also shattered the previous highest single-season rushing average in team history. What’s more, the Cards ran for at least 150 yards nine times while starting nine different offensive line combinations. Starting all 17 games, the Desert Viking was akin to the Atlas Stones he likes to hoist in his home gym – the rock of the Arizona OL.” — Paul Calvisi, Reporter/Host
